SON destroys N10bn worth of substandard goods

The Director General of Standard Organisation (SON), Dr Joseph Odumodu, on Monday said that organisation destroyed substandard goods worth N10 billion in the last four years.

Four persons were killed and an unspecified number of teenage girls were abducted in Bam Village, about seven kilometres away from Buratai village, the hometown of Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, during a dawn attack on the village by fighters of the Boko Haram sect on Sunday.
