He said “While I was on duty at about 3am on Monday February, 29, 2016, I heard a strange noise in the industry premises I was guarding. I decided to walk around the yard which was in total darkness.

“That short walk I took that night would forever be a walk to regret as the armed robbers sneaked into the premises unnoticed, descended on me with their machetes and cut off my two wrists in the process.”

The Doctors at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, who did not want their names in the print said the victim needed N380,000.00 for surgery for his right wrist adding that it had been kept alive by a tiny blood vessel.

Ikilo, father of three children, hails from Igueben town in Igueben Local Government Area of the Edo State, how he was attacked, saying, “When I came from generator house, I saw them loosing tyres, I wanted to run back but they surrounded me and cut my hands with cutlasses.”
