Suspected drug traffickers killed two policemen and wounded three others during an attack on a police station in central Chad, the government said Saturday.
The attack on Thursday targeted a police station in Egue, officials said in a statement, branding the attackers “drug traffickers”.
The reason for the clash was not made clear.
“Two attackers and a presumed accomplice have been detained. Following the (incident) the government forces recovered 25 firearms,” it said.
