Ogun police nab man with two human skulls


The Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Oluwatosin Akorede who was alleged to be in possession of two human skulls.

The suspect was arrested in the Isale Oko area of Sagamu on Sunday, at about 7pm.c

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested by a police patrol team led by the Divisional Police Officer, Moses Aduroja.


Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said the suspect, who is said to be working in a cemetery along Ayepe Road, Sagamu, “is currently undergoing interrogation with a view to unravelling the motive behind his action.”

He said the state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, had directed that the suspect be transferred to the command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigation.

In another development, the command also arrested an armed robbery suspect, Taofeek Abiola, on Friday.

Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested by policemen attached to the Onipanu division of the command, when they received information that a robbery gang was operating at Atmor Junction along Ilogbo Road in Ota Area of the state.

Other members of the gang were said to have fled.

He said the Divisional Police Officer, Baba Maiyaki, a Chief Superintendent of Police, led his men to the scene where the gang was trying to rob one Nwiboko Jeremiah of his Bajaj motorcycle.
