Two Nigerians, Chuukwu James and Gageche Gold Patience, were arrested in Kenya on Friday for being in possession of heroin worth Sh4.5m (about N13.7m)
They two were arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Police Unit in Mombasa while trying packing the drugs in readiness for a trip to Brussels, Belgium.
The Unit found 1.5kg of heroin on the duo.
The arrest followed a raid in an apartment in Nyali an area in the country.
Police say the duo had concealed the narcotics in a suitcase and were travelling to Brussels.
The DailyTimes of Kenya reports that sources said the drugs are suspected to have originated from Tanzania.
