A situation that appears to be a love affair gone sour between a soldier and a woman is trending on an online video.
The video, posted on Twitter, depicts a group of soldiers, with one of them severely beating a hapless woman, allegedly for telling him lies about her pregnancy.
The angry soldier beats the helpless woman blue and black, while his colleagues watch.
From his angry outbursts, the woman seems to have told the soldier that she was pregnant by him, and the soldier seems to have discovered that her claim was false.
“Bloody civilian, you have the guts to lie to me! You said you were pregnant when you are not! How dare you to lie to me…?”
He then went ahead to rain expletives on his victim, speaking in Hausa language.
