A 29-year-old man, Abdullahi Abubakar, is now in police custody for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old girl behind ECWA Church, Barkin-Sale in Minna, Niger State.
Abubakar allegedly lured the victim into his room and forcefully had sex with her.
Northern City News gathered that the incident occurred on July 12, when the girl was on an errand.
Abubakar told our correspondent on Sunday that he had had sex with the victim over three times.
He said, “I love the small girl, she is so beautiful that I can’t let her go without making love to her as she always submit to me and I have been making love to her; At least, I have done it more than three times.
“I don’t know what has come over me but I think I love the girl. I have messed up my life; look at me, 29-year-old man having an affair with 11-year -old girl,” he lamented.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, said the suspect had confessed to the crime and regretted his action.
He advised parents to monitor their children “especially girls so that those hopeless men out there would not take advantage of them.”
The PPRO said the suspect would soon be charged to court, noting that investigation had been concluded into the incident.
