There was drama on Saturday morning at Kondele in Kisumu, after police busted a man in the act with a 17-year old form two student.
The man identified as Erick Okoth was allegedly hiding the secondary school student who at his rental house at Kondele.
The parents of the student were looking for her, since she has not reported to their home in Mamboleo after the closure of their school on Thursday.
On Friday night, they received a phone call from a stranger notifying them that their daughter was at Kondele. With the help of Kondele Police, the parents busted the two in the act.
The girl fled the scene in shock while the man was put to harassment, with the police refusing to allow him to dress up before the public.
They later took the suspect to the Kondele Police Station.
Kondele Police OCS Ben Barasa warned the residents against looking for students to satisfy their sexual desires, adding that the long arm of the law was at work.
“Anyone planning to spoil students out there, your days are numbered. We will catch up with you,” he said.
