Masked men behead 2 suspected cultists in Rivers

The people of Elibrada community in Emohua Clan, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State trooped out Monday dancing and singing following the killing of two cultists that allegedly had been terrorizing the community.

According to a community source who pleaded anonymity, the problem started, Sunday night, when unknown gunmen invade Elibrada Carnival and shot sporadically, causing pandemonium in the area.

It was gathered that after the unidentified gunmen laid siege to the community, Sunday night, that one of the boys that had been terrorising the entire Emohua LGA was picked. The remains of the terror boy were discovered later, Monday, at Elibrada Junction.

It was gathered that when the remains were discovered his head was already cut off from the body and placed separately on a clean George wrapper, while his body was found in the bush.

The source also revealed that the people of the area rolled out their drums and gongs, singing and dancing when the news filtered in that the alleged terror cultist, Mr. Sunday Okogbule, popularly called, DD the White Lion, had been beheaded.

The source disclosed that in the third week of December 2015, that one of the close pals of DD the White Lion was also killed and beheaded.

It was gathered that DD, the White Lion was the leader of one of the cult groups that have imposed a reign of terror on the Emohua people.

The source said that when the news came in that the ‘White Lion’ had died with his head separated from his body the people of the area trooped out in their numbers to the scene of the incident to express their joy.

At press time no rival cult group or vigilante had claimed responsibility for the killing, but it is clear that the killing would have resulted from reprisal attack of a rival cult group in the area.

But the source who related the incident hinted Vanguard that the slain cultist was one of the hoodlums used by one of the political parties in the state to disrupt the electoral process during the last general elections.

It also said that the people of the area would experience relative peace following the killing of the two terror kingpins in the area.
