Enugu motorists lament as faulty traffic lights cause accidents


Some motorists in Enugu have expressed anger over dysfunctional traffic control lights in parts of the state capital.

Our correspondent observed that motorists approaching from different directions were given the green light to move at the same time, leading to accidents.

Kerosene mixed with petrol floods Borno


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Sunday in Maiduguri, Borno State, alerted residents to the menace of kerosene mixed with petrol, which was in circulation in the state.

The Borno State NSCDC Commandant, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, said some residents alerted the command to the circulation of the adulterated commodity.

Some residents of Winners Estate in the Adamo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State have vacated their houses after two persons were kidnapped by gunmen in quick succession in the area.

Ogun police nab six pipeline vandals


The Ogun State Police Command has arrested six suspected pipeline vandals in different areas of the state.

The suspects included four suspected militants said to be operating in the Ikorodu-Arepo areas.

Gunmen kidnap journalist, daughter in Ogun


A journalist with the Ogun State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nofisat Oshin, and her 15-year-old daughter have been kidnapped by gunmen in Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of the state.
