What roles does protein play in the body?

 
Protein is considered a macronutrient, which means that your body needs it in large amounts every day to function properly. When you eat protein, your body breaks it down into amino acids that are used for several purposes. Protein can provide your body with energy when necessary, but you should not rely on protein as a primary energy source because it has more important physiological roles to play, according to “Nutrition and You” by Joan Salge Blake.

Again, cattle rustlers attack Niger village, steal 700 cows

 
 
For the fourth time in one month, cattle rustlers have invaded Gbaka village in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

It was learnt that no fewer than 700 cows and unspecified number of goats and sheep were stolen.

Nigeria’s cross-dressing social media sensation, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has subtly owned up to what may be his real sexuality.

Bobrisky, whose sexuality is shrouded in controversy on Wednesday posted a video on SnapChat, in which he lauded his own cooking skills while frying egg.

Maid flees with baby, dumps her in Kaduna garden

 
A maid, Cynthia Shamang, has been arrested in Kaduna for absconding with Amarachi, the one-year-old baby of her employer, Mrs. Kachi Mbagwu.

The 17-year old was arrested alongside her father in Kaduna and handed over to the police in Abuja.
