Man, 40, remanded for defiling stepdaughter

A Kano Magistrates’ Court has ordered the remand of Ado Sa’adu, 40, for allegedly defiling his eight-year-old stepdaughter.

Sa’adu, a trader, in Hotoron Arewa Quarters, Kano, was charged to court over rape contrary to Section 283 of the Penal Code.

Customs intercept petrol tanker loaded with smuggled rice

The Ogun State Area Command, Nigeria Customs Service, has intercepted a petrol tanker and about 25 other vehicles loaded with smuggled bags of rice.
