A 24-year-old, Lateef Olajumoke, was on Thursday remanded in Ikoyi Prisons, Lagos, for allegedly putting a gun to a man’s head and pulling the trigger at Oshodi area of the metropolis.
An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court which did not take the plea of the accused for lack of jurisdiction, said he should be kept behind bars pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The accused, whose address is unknown, is facing a two-count charge of murder and conspiracy.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Matthew Akhaluode, told the court that the offences were committed on Sept. 30 at about 8.30 p.m. at No. 46, Mosaku St., Oshodi.
He said the accused shot Adekunle Mamora on the head and killed him instantly.
Akhaluode noted that the offences contravened Sections 221 and 231 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.
The Magistrate, Mrs K.O. Ariyo, adjourned the case to Nov.1.
