Reports had it that the command also arrested one Paul Ulegu for alleged murder of his brother who accused him of stealing his chicken.
The rape incident, according to sources, occurred while the victim’s parents were not at home.
The suspect was said to have lured the girl into his apartment where he allegedly carried out the act.
When he was confronted with the crime, the policeman offered to pay N50,000 as compensation to the victim but her family turned down the offer and instead dragged him to Family Law Centre.
It was at that point that the matter was reported to the command which prompted his arrest.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Mr. George Okafor, the family of the victim has been contacted for first hand information on the incident, while a medical test conducted on the victim has shown that she was raped.
