Man, 32, commits suicide in Bauchi


A 32-year old resident of Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Cletus Paulus, has hanged himself on a tree behind his house.

The spokesperson for Bauchi State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed, confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday.

He said that the deceased was certified dead by a medical doctor.

Mohammed said, “On June 19, 2016, at about 11:05am, one Cletus Paulus, male, (32) of Kijim village in Bogoro Local Government Area was seen hanged with rope on top of a tree behind his house.

“He is believed to have committed suicide.

“Police detectives attached to Bogoro Division visited the scene, photographed the victim and rushed him to general hospital in Bogoro where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.” He said the body had been deposited at the mortuary.

Also, police detectives attached to Soro Division in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state during the week arrested one Rabiu Bello, male, (32) of Dirya village for cattle rustling.
