A five-year-old girl who got missing in a park near her home was found with a convicted child rapist.
The girl had been playing in a park in Bootle, Liverpool, when her mother, who had been watching from her window, realised she was not there.
According to Metro UK, the mother told the Liverpool Crown Court she alerted neighbours who joined in the search.
She said she finally spotted her daughter with Trevor Hughes, 66, coming out from behind a leisure centre in the park.
Hughes was jailed for two and half years after sexually assaulting a girl and possessing child porn images, back in 2013 and had been banned from contact with unsupervised children.
Hughes pleaded guilty and was jailed 12 months for breaching the sexual offences prevention order.
