A 40-year-old man, Muntari Abdu, was on Tuesday arraigned before a Katsina State Senior Magistrates’ Court for culpable homicide.
Abdu of Mai Tsaidau village, Baure Local Government Area allegedly stabbed to death one Salisu Abubakar, 30, of the same village, during a fight.
According to the police, the incident occurred on September 26, 2017.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado, said Abdu acted contrary to Section 225 of the Penal Code, adding, however, that the case still being investigated.
He requested an adjournment to allow for investigation by the police.
The presiding magistrate, Hajiya Falile Dikko, thus, adjourned the case.
She, however, directed that Abdu should be remanded in the prison custody until then.
