There was drama on Wednesday at Mititi area in Oyugis, after a man was caught chewing his friend's wife in the bush.
Confirming the incident, area chief John Otieno said Jacinta Atieno pretended that she was going to fetch firewood from the bush, only to be found enjoying the forbidden fruit with a man identified as Abel Ouma.
"Atieno told her husband, Peter Omondi that she was going to fetch firewood from a local bush few meters away from their homestead but, Omondi doubted and laid a trap on her," said the chief.
According to the administrator, Omondi followed his wife secretly, and caught her red handed with Ouma enjoying themselves deep in the bush.
He said that Ouma escaped after Omondi raised an alarm to attract members of the public.
" Ouma escaped into the neighboring bushy maize farm abandoning his trouser and a walking stick. The woman, a mother of 2 was beaten up by angry residents for disrespecting her husband," he noted.
The chief said Ouma will find it hard returning to the village because this is the fourth woman he was caught with in the act.
He called on men to stop being lenient on their cheating wives, and ensure they don't allow them to go to bushy areas alone to fetch firewood.
