A primary school teacher found himself in trouble after he was caught seducing a Standard 8 girl.
The teacher, Jared Nyabwari was roughed up by angry members of the public when he was caught in a compromising situation with the schoolgirl.
A resident, Isaac Mwabora said he was always suspicious of the teacher and on this particular day, he followed him secretly.
"Nyabwari has been chasing school girls in the area. I spotted him following the girl while she was going home. I decided to follow them from behind to see what he wanted to do to her. I was shocked when I found Nyabwari closely with the girl begging her to accept him as her lover," said Mwabora.
Mwabora said he raised alarm and residents arrived to witness the incident.
"We don't condone such behaviours in the area. We roughed up Nyabwari when the girl confessed that he was asking her to make love to him," noted Amos Onwong'a.
Area assistant chief Fred Obae confirmed the incident and said the teacher escaped to a nearby maize plantation. He left his shoes behind.
Obae said teachers in the area should stop misusing girls instead, be at the forefront to ensure they remain in school and shape their future.
He said Nyabwari will be arrested and disciplinary action taken since the girl confessed that he has been chasing her for love.
The administrator called on parents to be vigilant and ensure girls are not misused by men sexually especially during the long August holiday.
