POLICE detectives in Calabar are searching for a group of suspected cultists that hacked a man simply identified as Godspower for reportedly obstructing the sale of a parcel of land in the Eight Miles axis of the Cross River State capital.
The deceased, whose picture went virile on Facebook, was said to have been clubbed to death and his corpse buried in an unknown place.
The picture indicated that the Godspower suffered varying degrees of machete cuts while his hands were tied with a rope.
Southern City News gathered on Sunday from a security agent that the suspects had claimed on the Facebook that the deceased was an armed robber that was clubbed to death in the Eight Mile area of Calabar after an operation.
But security reports gathered that the deceased was killed by the gang of eight because he had consistently opposed the sale of a parcel of land by the leader of the gang, identified as Edim Edim.
