Perrone received a maximum sentence of 75 years to life – three consecutive sentences for his victims. The judge said he was ‘lucky there is no death penalty’ in New York.
Perrone rambled in court for about 25 minutes, and had numerous outbursts during the trial, even berating his own attorneys. The victims’ relatives walked out as he rambled. One victim’s son cursed him out in court as well – all gave victim’s impact statements prior to that.
“Son of Sal” killed three Brooklyn shopkeepers of Middle Eastern descent in 2012. He was found fit for trial in 2013, unfit in 2014, and fit last year, even with his personality disorders.
