SIX persons were feared killed when suspected cult members struck in two communities of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday.
The incident took place after some repentant cult members in the area recently accepted the peace move by the Rivers State Government and reportedly laid down their arms.
Our correspondent learnt that a group of armed youths suspected to be members of the Greenlanders struck in Okposi, a community in Iburu clan and Obagi in Egi clan.
A source, Mrs. Rita (surname withheld), told our correspondent that the cult members killed four people in Okposi community before moving to Obagi where they killed two others.
Rita said the suspected cult members invaded the communities around 8am, shooting heavily.
She claimed that the victims of the shooting were members of a rival cult in the area known as Icelanders.
She said, “The shooting on Sunday was too much. Greenlanders cult members came to Okposi community and killed four people.”
