“I was in Lagos after returning from a foreign mission in Sudan and my commander said I was still gallant and then took 24 of us to Maiduguri, out of 24 of us, 14 died there while fighting the insurgents and I was afraid, so that was when I decided to leave the work.
“So, I started escorting robbers to whenever they want to sell the snatch car. I’ll be inside the car for escort, I’ve never been involved in any of the robbery, I just escort them to where they’ll sell it.
“I left Army when I was serving in Maiduguri. I just decided to leave the work when I came back from Sudan.
“I was in prison due to the illegal work I was doing. I was there for a year and six months, I came out around August this year.
“The 14 soldiers out of 24 died as a result of Boko Haram, so I just ran away from Sambisa and came to Lagos.
“I don’t really know about the guns, my own is just to escort them to anywhere they want to go. I don’t do anything with the guns and I don’t know anything about the guns.”

That fateful day, when police got to my house, they alleged that I am selling Indian hemp and I told them that there was nothing of such.
“I allowed them to search my house unknowingly they had information about the human skull I kept in container in the front of my house. When they brought it out, I was amazed and they arrested me”.
